Emissary Bio: Michael Hey

Like all children I was born with natural curiosity towards life's most fundamental questions. Yet as I progressed through my schooling, I gradually learned to live with the concept of unsolvable mystery.
In highschool I excelled in science and mathematics. These talents were highly valued by family and I was always encouraged to develop the rational side of my brain. My secret desire, at the time, was to discover a grand unifying theory.
Strangely my studies in physics were leading me away from the answers I was seeking. I began to suspect that my quest was spiritual in nature and that the question of "life, the universe and everything" (as Douglas Adams put it in his "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy") would not be solved by physics. I switched faculties after my second year and in 1995 I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Film.
Of the myriad of experiences that have shaped my world view, one is particularly worth noting. While living in Japan, I began to practice daily zazen meditation. Before I left Japan, I spent a week meditating at a Zen monastery. "Sesshin" provided me with a powerful direct experience of the oneness of all things. I knew that any theory of creation would be incomplete if it did not address this profound interconnectedness.
In recent years I have been very active in the 9/11 Truth Movement. I have a strong reaction to perceived injustice and I'm very concerned about the effect that such a grand lie can have on the soul of a society. On the positive side, I feel that exposing the lie will a have a cathartic healing effect as it will help prepare us for the great transformation that is about to take place. My work within the movement has allowed me to understand what it can be like to share new ideas - especially unpopular ones. It has also taught me the extent to which human beings are capable of clinging to dearly held yet utterly incongruous beliefs, leading me to re-evaluate my entire belief system.
When I discovered Mr. Haramein's work through one of his DVD's, I knew instantly that I would need to pursue this knowledge in the fullest way possible. My desire to learn more led me naturally to Hawai'i and participation in the emissary program.
I am deeply grateful for this opportunity to help share these profound insights with the world. I know that Mr. Haramein's work will transform society in the most beautiful way imaginable. I consider myself to be a gifted communicator and feel this to be an excellent way for me to make a contribution to the great shift in consciousness that is already well underway.
